Keyboard

Projects

Mechanical Typing Keyboards are one of my favorite hobbies and a significant inspiration for pursuing a career in UX/UI Research and Design. Below are some that I've built for others, tailored to their tastes, and other personal projects.

Customer Build #1

"I want a full white keyboard, mainly for gaming, that doesn't tire my hands out after long gaming sessions and has a higher sound profile." - Customer

Keyboard Build

Mode Envoy: Price wasn't the main issue for this customer, so I wanted to buy from a company that I knew would be reliable. Mode Designs provided a keyboard with a mix between luxury and performance, having the 65% layout desired and new lattice block mount system that I had tried previously which I knew was softer to the touch

Clackbits Linear Switch: Great pre-lube, supported a good cause (water wells in Africa), and higher pitched

GMK Honor Light: As a personal favorite and community favorite, GMK is the leading brand in innovative and high-quality keycap sets. Made out of double-shot ABS plastic, these keycaps tend to feel softer to the touch (subjective) and have a higher, more intense sound compared to cheaper brands.

Customer Build #2

"I want a 65% layout board that's below $200, as well as a lighter colored board that's 'thocky'." - Customer

Keyboard Build

Keyboard Kit - Bakeneko65; Personally owning one before, I knew that for its price, the weight and typing experience of the board was next to none due to the O-ring mount board (seen on expensive boards usually)

Gateron Milky Pro Switches: A relatively cheap switch (at the time) that provided a great pre-lubed experience

NicePBT BoW w/ Lavender Accents: Due to price restrictions, I needed to buy a keycap set that was from the same producers as the Bakeneko due to only having to pay 1 shipping price. This keycap set was also designed for the keyboard and out of all the colors, he thought the Lavender accents was the nicest
